Tournament Rules
1. Don't lose your id card (results are collected by player number).
2. Raise your hand when you finish your game so that the director can collect your results.
3. If you have not finished the game when the round ends, stop playing. Count the points on the board: Pawn=1; Knight=Bishop=3; Rook=5; Queen=9. Raise your hand so results can be collected.
4. Raise your hand if you have questions during play. Do not argue with your opponent.
5. After you report your results, set up the board for the next round. Stay seated and be quiet so as not to distract other players until the round ends. You can observe other games if you do not disturb the players.
6. You can play “touch move” if both players agree.
7. Shake hands before you start and at the finish.
8. If you must leave before the tournament ends, notify the director.
9. MOST IMPORTANT: be quiet during the round and when announcements are being made!
